Supporting our mission for human rights and justice
The Inter-ministerial Delegation for Human Rights in Morocco is a governmental body established in 2011, placed under the authority of the Head of Government. It is entrusted with the coordination of national human rights policy, the preparation of reports, and ensuring the Kingdom of Morocco’s compliance with its obligations under international human rights conventions.
Established pursuant to Decree No. 2.11.150 dated April 11, 2011, and reorganized by Decree No. 2.25.541 in September 2025, the Delegation assumes competencies and functions related to the coordination of human rights policy.
It serves as the central body mandated to propose, coordinate, and monitor national public policies in the fields of human rights and international humanitarian law. Furthermore, it bears the responsibility for preparing the official reports of the Kingdom of Morocco and ensuring the implementation and operationalization of recommendations issued by international human rights mechanisms.
Additionally, the Delegation is responsible for engaging with civil society organizations and managing relations with United Nations agencies, regional and international organizations, and foreign partners regarding human rights issues.
